About Generator Arcade

What this site is

Generator Arcade is an independent website of small, free tools — the kind of thing you need for thirty seconds and don't want to install an app for. Flip a coin to settle an argument, draw a raffle winner in front of a class, create a password for a new account, make a QR code for a poster, or keep time while you practise an instrument.

The site is designed, written and maintained by an independent developer. It isn't affiliated with any of the brands or products mentioned on its pages.

How the tools are built

• Everything runs in your browser. There's no server processing what you type. Lists, passwords and text stay on your device, and most tools keep working even if you go offline after the page has loaded.
• No accounts, no sign-ups. Open a page and use it. A few tools remember your settings in your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time.
• The right randomness for the job. Games and everyday tools use your browser's standard random number generator; the Password Generator uses the cryptographically secure Web Crypto API instead.
• Accurate timing. The Stopwatch measures time from a high-resolution clock rather than counting up in steps, and the Metronome schedules clicks on the audio clock, so neither drifts.
• Works everywhere. Every page is built to work on phones, tablets and desktops, with keyboard support and respect for your device's reduced-motion setting.

Explanations, not just buttons

Each tool page includes a guide explaining how the tool works and how to use it well: the odds behind dice totals and coin streaks, what password strength ratings actually measure, how QR error correction works, how HEX, RGB and HSL colours relate, and more. If you spot something that's wrong or unclear, please let us know and we'll fix it.

How the site is funded

Generator Arcade is free to use and is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are kept separate from the tools themselves, and we never sell or share anything you type into a tool — see the privacy policy for full details of cookies and analytics.
